Orthopaedic Acupuncture
A specialised style of acupuncture centred around relieving pain-related symptoms stemming from musculoskeletal conditions.
Muscle groups that require treatment are identified and isolated through a range of diagnostic testing techniques.
Skilled needling techniques and therapeutic soft tissue mobilisation methods are utilised to alleviate pain, restore muscle function, and address any structural imbalances that may be present.
Dry Needling
This techniques is used to relieve myofasical trigger points (muscle knots).
Releasing tigger points reduces pain by elongating the muscle and restoring muscle elasticity; this in turn restores the muscle's functioning potential.
Motor Point Acupuncture
When muscles are under prolonged stress due to incorrect or over use they can become weak and dysfunctional.
This can be relieved by stimulating the muscle's motor point with an electrical pulse. The process alleviates pain and neurological dysfunction whist relieving muscle weakness and restoring muscle function.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Historically speaking, TCM was a wellness medicine that focused on keeping people in good health. Therefore this medicine takes a whole-person approach to disease and dysfunction. By taking into consideration a person's whole state of being, we are able to tailor a treatment plan specifically for you.
